Working at IMFFA has always been a very rewarding experience for both my professional and personal life. Through it, I got to know IMFFA’s Project Manager, Chad Franklin, and Board Chair, Juan Novoa, who provided a convivial environment for me to always enjoy my work by being very flexible and friendly. While I worked with them to assist and support IMFFA’s various ongoing proejcts, they always took my comments and advices very seriously.
The experience I gained while working there is how I would define IMFFA: a family association capable of accompanying you professionally by applying and developing professional skills through different projects, but also explaining to you their different social commitments. The many projects I had the privilege to work on were varied, a response to my request of working in different fields: Information Technology by providing IMFFA technological solutions for the website and software solutions for internal communication, and by organizing and managing their databases; Project Management in which I worked with the Communications team to propose a social media strategy to enhance the website’s general performance; Research and Analysis in which I worked on comparison reports on different topics and by monitoring IMFFA’s website through the use of Google Analytics.
Furthermore, IMFFA has helped me foster the understanding of what it means to help individuals and families. This dedication to keep doing more has been inspiring to me. The more I contributed to IMFFA, the more it contributes to me as well as the international community it represents.
Not only has this experience been truly helpful for my future career goals, it has helped me become even more mature by discovering what it means to be in the workplace and the different responsibilities I’ve had the honor of possessing.
