Today, I will give you tips about the Shenandoah area.
Here are two ways to look at the Shenandoah National Park.
You will travel in a hot air balloon, ride over the National Park of Shenandoah. I suggest you check the weather conditions beforehand with them.
By ground: Pack a picnic and water. The Shenandoah offers many trails to hike and roads to drive. Here are two easy ones for the family to enjoy:
Hike to Crabtree Falls Loop
Hike to Blackrock Summit Loop and the scenic Skyline Drive

If you are looking for a small village ambiance, stop in the charming Sperryville.
Sneak a peek at the Copper Fox antique warehouse. I felt it is a door on the past of this region.

All this at the Pembroke Springs, located in Star Tannery, Va., about 90 miles from Washington DC, north of Strasburg on the West Virginia line.
You can eat at Mimslyn, Luray, VA and live music or the Griffin tavern, Flint Hill, VA.
At the end of the Shenandoah Valley take time to discover the very beautiful County of Bath.

Time for relaxing? Try out the Jefferson Pools, natural hot springs. They are in large wooden structures. You will feel so good after that!
