It has been known for a long time that in order to prevent nepotism, the IMF has a policy in place that forbids hiring of staff spouses. Up until now, this measure included the Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.
After months of talking and cultivating a relation with the BFSFCU Management Staff, I can proudly state that this policy will no longer apply. Now spouses have one more option, a great one actually, to be allowed to apply and be considered for job openings at BFSFCU.
Given that a significant portion of our members come from a background of business and finance, this is a huge step forward.
So, G4 dependents (spouses or children of WBG and IMF staff who are G4 visa holders) are eligible to work in the United States, and for BFSFCU. Anyone who wishes to be considered must first obtain an Employment Authorization Card (EAC) from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
